MARINELAND AS A TEACHER RESOURCE The Ocean Literacy Reference Guide is a collection of ocean messages to help the public learn about the importance of our oceans to all living things. The fundamentals of these messages – the Essential Principles of Ocean Literacy - were developed by a consortium of some 100 members of the ocean sciences and education communities during an on-line workshop sponsored by the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, the National Geographic Society’s Ocean for Life Initiative, the National Marine Educators Association, and the Centers for Ocean Sciences Education Excellence. MARINELAND AS A STUDENT RESOURCE Marineland strives to be a community resource for everyone interested in marine science and marine conservation. Please direct any of your students with questions about marine life or careers with animals to Marineland's Education Department at education@marineland.net or (904) 471-1111, ext. 112. Hey Kids! S.E.A. Camp is back. Come join us for our fourth year of Seaside Eco-Adventure Camp. Check it out!
