Field Trips

Marineland Dolphin Adventure offers a variety of field trip options to give students the chance to learn about dolphins and other aquatic life living in our ecosystems. We are dedicated to educating students on our aquatic animals and current conservation efforts. Click here to download our 2016-2017 Field Trip Packet for more detailed information and guidelines.

  • Bottlenose Basics
    Students are invited to view our dolphins through one of our large underwater viewing windows. During this unique educational experience, students will participate in three 10-minute lessons about our bottlenose dolphins and engage with dolphin-related artifacts.        - Target Audience: Grades K-1
       - Program Cost: $10 per person; bus drivers and teachers will receive free admission

  • Conservation Crafts: Recycled Paper
    Join our conservation efforts and learn a new way to reduce, reuse, and recycle at home by making your own recycled paper! Students will take part in a 30-45-minute-lesson in which they make their own sheet of paper that they can keep as a souvenir. Download our Recycled Paper Educator Guide here

  • Behind the Seas
    Get a behind-the-scenes look at Marineland Dolphin Adventure! During this 30-45-minute guided tour, students will learn about our history and our incredible dolphin inhabitants, and view a variety of aquatic animals that can be found in our local ecosystems.        - Target Audience: Grades 2 and up
       - Program Cost: $10 per person; bus drivers and teachers will receive free admission
       - Suggested Group Size: 20 guests per tour

  • Mission: Marine Mammals
    This program offers students the exclusive opportunity to participate in our mock stranding lesson. Following a 15-minute outdoor lesson about Georgia Aquarium’s Conservation Field Station, students will work together in a 15-minute mock stranding. This unique opportunity encourages students to learn about the importance of conservation, and how to protect our earth’s marine mammals. Download our Marine Mammals Educator Guide here.
       - Target Audience: Grades 3 and up
       - Program Cost: $10 per person; bus drivers and teachers will receive free admission
       - Suggested Group Size: 20 guests per tour

  • Dolphin Diets
    Students are given the opportunity to take part in our Touch and Feed encounter, in which they will be able to feed and interact with one of our bottlenose dolphins. Prior to the encounter, students will take part in a classroom presentation to learn about dolphin anatomy and daily diet. Plus, you’ll receive a CD with all your interaction photos!        - Target Audience: Ages 3 and up. Children ages 3-7 must be accompanied by an adult.
       - Program Cost: $22 per person; this rate applies to ALL participants, including teachers, chaperones and bus drivers
       - Suggested Group Size: 30 guests. Please note that this program has a maximum of 80 guests, including teachers and chaperones.

Combos
Any of our field trip options can be combined. A discounted add-on price of $5 per person will be added for each additional lesson. Please see our 2016-2017 Field Trip packet for more information and pricing guidelines.

Please Note:

  • Field trips are available every day of the week from September to May.
  • Please book field trips at least one week in advance. Due to limited availability, we recommend booking as early as possible. Our busiest months for field trips are October and March – May.
  • Minimum requirement of 10 people per group, including students, teachers and chaperones.
  • For guests with special needs, please contact Darrel Austin at daustin@georgiaaquarium.org
  • We encourage groups to bring their own lunches as we do not provide any options to purchase food at Marineland.
  • A $100 non-refundable deposit is required to reserve your visit. Full payment will be due upon or before your arrival.
