    • January 22nd: Sea Turtles
      • The life of a sea turtle is full of twists and turns! Join us in following and exploring loggerhead sea turtles’ lives through the story One Tiny Turtle! From the baby sea turtle to an adult we will see what a sea turtle’s journey entails! Our Sea Squirts will have the opportunity to journey through a sea turtle’s life with an engaging book, and craft, and the opportunity to see our very own loggerhead sea turtle, Rocky
    • January 29th: Sea Slime
      • Sea slime is an important component of many underwater organisms! The sea slug relies upon sea slime to move across the ocean floor, sea butterflies utilize bubbles of sea slime to catch their food, and parrotfish sleep in a casing of sea slime for protection. There are many uses for sea slime and in a colorful book the Sea Squirts will examine them all! After kiddos develop a better understanding of how sea slime is utilized in the ocean, child-parent pairs will have the opportunity to make their very own sand slime.
    • February 5th: Dolphins
      • Dolphins are incredible marine mammals that captivate audiences of all ages. Through our storytime, Sea Squirts will learn about the special characteristics of a dolphin through a sweet tale about a dolphin calf. Sea Squirts will not only get to observe Marineland’s dolphins, but child-parent pairs will create dolphin sensory bottles that engage both the children and the dolphins! To top it all off we will also get our own dolphin show and spend some time at our dolphin window for a fun dolphin enrichment session – don’t worry, it’s no contact, so you won’t get wet!
    • February 12th: Tides & Currents
      • Did you know that 28,000 rubber ducks in the ocean accidentally taught us about currents? Join us for the story of Ducks Overboard to learn about how thousands of rubber ducks made their way across the globe through the ocean’s tides and currents. Sea Squirts, in their child-parent pairs, will also get to create their crafty duck friend with a map of their journey. And of course, you don’t want to miss our duck race! Sea Squirts will get to cheer on their favorite rubber duck as it races across the waves.
    • February 19th: Whales
      • Have you ever seen whales migrating right off our very own Florida coast? Now is the time to join us for the story of Little Whale as we learn about the life of gray whales and their migration through a captivating mother-daughter whale pair. Sea Squirts, in their child-parent pairs, will get the chance to jump into the story by making their very own mother whale, plus coloring in their baby whale to follow along! We will also learn all about how whales keep warm during their long migrations through an exciting blubber experiment!
    • February 26th: Food Chains
      • Food chains are an important part of every animal’s life, but how exactly do they work? For this snake edition of Food Chains our Sea Squirts, in their child-parent pairs, will learn all about food chains through our story Creep, Leap, Crunch. Through interactions with our loveable snakes Nagini and Dr. Love, we will get to see some of the snakes from our storytime in real life! And don’t miss the chance to make your very own snake food chain with our foldable craft.
